Ongoing relational conversations and shared efforts are critical for all culture change.
But some, like those HealingVideos is catalyzing can bring up deep
emotions and defenses.
Prepare to be Thooughtful
with your comments. Intentionally consider
how your comments might effect others.
The best approach is one of authentic honesty -- the kind that speaks from your own experiences with insight, humility and mindfulness of how your words affect
not only you, but most important others.
Prepare for Disagreement
Know that regardless what you say
some will not like it.
That's OK, they'll live.
Try to respect their views, without getting too caught in any that escalate you or them into angry, contempt and us v them debates.
Try to keep talking. But, if it's getting contentious, give it a rest.
Know your boundaries.
And respect others boundaries, too.
